Junior Shows

What is the show?

Each year we hold our whole-school show, divided into junior and senior shows. This is a lovely opportunity for pupils to come together, see each other’s work, and for parents to see progress across the school. While lessons cover show work, they also continue syllabus progression for Summer Term exams/assessments. Students not participating in the show must still continue their weekly lessons.

Junior show details

Show dances are taught during weekly lessons; the only extra rehearsals are the stage rehearsals. Students are in ONE of the three shows (A, B, or C). Information on show allocation is provided in January.

Key information:
  • • Dancers will prepare a modern dance during their modern/tap class.
  • • The performance lasts approximately one hour with no interval.
  • • Dancers are required up to 90 minutes before the performance.

Medical notice

Please ensure we have details of any medical issues. Students requiring medicine must have it with them at all times. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure medicines are in date. Please alert staff to the location of Epipens or inhalers at all rehearsals and performances.

Fees & costs

Show fees cover costumes (supplied by the school), staff, theatre hire, and dress rehearsals. Fees are charged per discipline, not per class.

One discipline (Ballet or Modern) £25
Two disciplines £30
Three or more disciplines £35

*Pointe work is a separate discipline performed by Year 12 and 13.
