Sunday 1st March - Junior Rehearsals
Saturday March 14th Junior Performances

Venue: Cidermill Theatre, Chipping Campden GL55 6HX

What is the show?

Each year we hold our whole-school show. We divide the school into junior shows and senior shows. It is a lovely opportunity for the pupils to come together as a school and see each other’s work. It also gives the parents the opportunity to see what is achieved across the school as well as their child’s age group.

Whilst the lessons cover the show work, they also continue to cover the syllabus in progression towards their exams/assessments in the Summer Term. Therefore, if a student is unable to do the show it is still necessary for them to continue their weekly lessons.

Junior show information:

All the show dances are taught within the weekly lessons so the only extra rehearsals are those listed above.

We charge a small show fee to cover the costumes, staff, and theatre hire for rehearsals. These prices are set further down this page.

There are 3 junior shows on the Saturday and each student is in ONE of these shows.

Junior show performances:

SHOW A: 11:00am

SHOW B: 2:00pm

SHOW C: 4:45pm

  • Information on which show each student is in is given at the start of the show term in January.
  • Each class spends time in their weekly lessons preparing a piece to be performed in the show which is held on the stage at the Cidermill Theatre in Chipping Campden in March.
  • The junior dancers will not perform tap in the show. They will prepare a modern dance in the modern/tap class.
  • The only extra rehearsal required is the stage rehearsal on Sunday 1st March at the Cidermill Theatre.
  • The junior stage rehearsals typically requires the students to be there for a couple of hours on that day.
  • On the day of the performances, students are required to be at the theatre up to 90 minutes before the start of the performance – exact times are dependent on their year group and this information is given nearer the time.
  • The performance itself takes about one hour and there is no interval. They are free to be collected as soon as their show has finished.
  • Tickets are available to buy and I will let you know as soon as these are released.

Please ensure we have details of any medical issues; students needing any medicines must have these on them at all times, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure all medicines are in date and working. Please make us aware of the location of any epipens or inhalers at rehearsals and performances.

We charge a small fee for dress rehearsal and costume hire (all costumes are supplied by the school). Fees are set out below.

Tickets are available to buy nearer the time of the event.
