  • They must bring all the items of costumes that we have already sent home (items listed above)
  • All costumes must arrive ironed and on a hanger where necessary
  • They will need a large box with no lid to put all the smaller items in. This way they can access all their belongings quickly and easily.
  • Layers to wear in between dances/performances. Something with an opening at the front so they don’t mess up their hair and make up.
  • Plenty of food to keep them going. PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANYTHING CONTAINING NUTS. and no fizzy drinks. Water bottles can be refilled.
  • No nail varnish on hands or feet.
  • No jewellery – if they are unable to take out pierced earrings please make sure they cover them with plasterers.
  • Any valuables are brought at the parents’ and students’ own risk. The teachers and organisers cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage.
  • We have make up for them to use, however they are welcome to use their own
  • They will all need a tan body stocking|leotard OR tan underwear. They do not need to underwear AND a body stocking. This is for safeguarding reasons when they are changing backstage in and out of costumes. If your child is only in one dance they might not need a body stocking so please check with me if you’re not sure.
  • There will not be time for any of the senior students to leave the premises in between shows and rehearsals on Sunday.

Tan leotard or underwear*

Relevant footwear for each dance (a separate email will be sent)

Any items of costumes that have already been sent home (a separate email will be sent)

Layers to keep them warm that won’t mess their hair up when taken on and off

Something to keep them entertained when they’re waiting in between rehearsals and performances etc

Any phones and other valuables brought to the theatre are the responsibility of the students themselves and NOT the teachers or helpers

No coloured nail varnish on hands or feet

No jewellery to be brought in at all

If they can’t take their earrings out please cover with plasters before they come

If they need an inhaler please ensure they have this with them

Please ensure we have details of any medical issues; students needing any medicines must have these on them at all times, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure all medicines are in date and working. Please make us aware of the location of any epipens or inhalers

* All students from year 7 and above will need tan underwear to wear under their costumes to keep them covered up during costumes changes. Tan body suits/leotards are perfect for this. If they need more support they can wear a tan bra and high legged knickers (not shorts). Bras must have tan fabric straps and not rubber. The shiny straps show too much on stage under the lights.

Each year we hold our whole-school show. We divide the school into junior shows and senior shows. It is a lovely opportunity for the pupils to come together as a school and see each other’s work. It also gives the parents the opportunity to see what is achieved across the school as well as their child’s age group.

Whilst the lessons cover the show work, they also continue to cover the syllabus in progression towards their exams/assessments in the Summer Term. Therefore, if a student is unable to do the show it is still necessary for them to continue their weekly lessons.
